A new patch has been posted on the NIOS forum to fix the issues caused by connecting the OpenCores Ethernet MAC to Altera's Avalon BUS. The entire wishbone module has been removed and replaced with a new Avalon module. The patch can be found in the "Post your own IP" section of the forum. The package also contains a complete driver for use with Altera's implementation of the InterNiche stack.
